Episode 18: Freida Saylor

Monday August 6, we welcome Freida Saylor, Behavioral Health Director of Cherokee Hospital back to the podcast. Tune in at 7pm to catch what she's been up to.


Freida is an enrolled member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. She serves as the Behavioral Health Director at Analensigi with Cherokee Indian Hospital. She holds degrees from Western Carolina University, Bachelors of Business Administration and Law and Bachelors of Social Work and Masters of Social Work from the University of Central Florida, and is currently a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist.

Freida’s personal history with trauma and family’s struggling with trauma and substance use issues have led her to this field. She wants to impact others by fostering healing and providing a formal and informal means of treatment. She loves working in her community’s health system because of the comprehensive services offered and the leadership’s value of these services.
