Episode 8: Valerie Spencer

We will be having another special guest on with us for Episode 8 tomorrow night!


Freida Saylor, LCSW, LCAS Behavioral Health Director Cherokee Hospital


Freida is an enrolled member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. She serves as the Behavioral Health Director at Analensigi with Cherokee Indian Hospital. She holds degrees from Western Carolina University, Bachelors of Business Administration and Law and Bachelors of Social Work and Masters of Social Work from University of Central Florida, and is currently a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist.

Freida’s personal history with trauma and family’s struggling with trauma and substance use issues have lead her to this field. She wants to impact others by fostering healing and providing a formal and informal means to treatment. She loves working in her community’s health system because of the comprehensive services offered and the leadership’s value of these services.
